The seed for the Computer Society of India (CSI) was first sown in the year 1965 with a handful of IT enthusiasts who were a computer user group and felt the need to organize their activities. They also wanted to share their knowledge and exchange ideas on what they felt was a fast emerging sector. Today the CSI takes pride in being the largest and most professionally managed association of and for IT professionals in India. The purposes of the Society are scientific and educational directed towards the advancement of the theory and practice of computer science & IT.
The activities of the Computer Society of India started in the city of Trivandrum with the annual convention of Computer Society of India CSI 69 in January 1969 on the theme topic 'Training in Software'. |

Workshop on Engineering Mobile and Web Applications for Better Usability |
Venue: The Mascot Hotel
Graphics, Usability, Interaction Design, Interface Design, User Experience and User Centered Design are terms that are used in the software industry at random. This workshop is aimed at understanding usability and it's concepts from real life. The reasons behind good/ bad designs, nuances of designing applications for better usability, usability on mobile platforms where real estate is a premium would be discussed.
Designers, Product and Technical Architects, Senior Web Application Designers and Developers would immensely benefit from the workshop.
The workshop is designed as a highly interactive one with lots of discussions interspersed with quizzes and Q & A sessions. Due to the specific nature of the workshop, participation shall be limited to 30 people on a first come first served basis.
